The Amur River

A huge river in The Far East, Russia shares this river with China. We are not far from Harbin. Factories were relocated to this part of Russia during WWII.

Khabarovsk over time

WWII Memorial with soviet era building and church in background . History is fascinating . Depends on which lens you see it through. Present even more so. The Russians take WWII history seriously, and now religion too. Full circle.

Village and farms along the track

We are in Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East, Vladivostok tomorrow, then home. It’s been a fabulous trip, amend I’m ready for home. The farmers (peasant’s) life looks pretty tough. More about that later.
