A huge river in The Far East, Russia shares this river with China. We are not far from Harbin. Factories were relocated to this part of Russia during WWII.

We are in Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East, Vladivostok tomorrow, then home. It’s been a fabulous trip, amend I’m ready for home. The farmers (peasant’s) life looks pretty tough. More about that later.

Peter & Paul Fortress on the Neva River in St Petersburg, originally to protect the city from enemies coming by water. Now a museum. Part of the fortress was used as a prison for various revolutionaries. Grim.
